Question about Harley Davidson Motorcycles

My left speaker isn't working in my fairing. I have a 07 Electra glide classic. I replaced that speaker and it still doesn't work. Right works all other parts work.

It's either the wiring going to your speaker or possibly something happening inside the amplifier part of your stereo.

Who would knowlingly counter the engineers who wrote the REV> If I were you, I'd be checking with HD.

My seat of the pants respons would otherwise be ... Hmmmmm. Maybe your system was designed for 4 ohm speakers and the new speakers are 16 OHM - which would technically put a 4 fold additional load on the amps.

There is a row of small screws with nuts on them just below the bottom edge of the windshield. Remove these, the windshield support brackets and the light bar and the front of the fairing should come off.

check plug connections in speaker box then work your way frontward toward the radio checking for the signal I think harleytalking.com has schematics they have helped me...

there is a fuse on the left side side cover plate there is a fuse for the pump in the fuse block. Replace that and it should work.

You will have to trace down a wiring problem BUT the radio will also give you diagnosis and DTCs to lead you to the problem.

Cruise control will not work on my 07 ultra classic


Hi Anonymous, 1992 and later Touring Models, fuel pump fuses and relays will be behind the right side panel, everything else will be behind the left side panel to access fuses pull back on the front two locking tabs and slide the cover up. Good luck and have nice day.

You may have answered your own question, check the connections under the fairing, use a test light probe on the wiring and work backwards until you find problem.

Adding a factory intercom on a Electra Glide Classic


Yes, It's pretty expensive, I would talk with someone at a dealer who really know exactly whats involved. you may be better served by using Cardo's Scalia Teamset. I'd just go for the FLHTCU personally, 4 speakers, cb, intercom, fairing lowers, better resale.
