The tv starts to freeze then shuts off whenever i touch the device button on my remote or whenever I go to Tv menu and then click on Audio/Video. the last time it worked correctly I had unplugged my Blu Ray from it ..dont know if that caused anything...
Try this: 1) turn on the TV 2) from the remote control press MENU 2,4,7,0 then ENTER 3) tv will state on screen that it is INITIALIZING 4) when done press the front reset button. 5) should be good to go!

With the remote press menu 2470 enter then do a system reset after the set has reinitialized this should fix your problem, you will have to reprogram your channel settings afterwards though.
There is a simple thing you can try---with set on use original Mitsubishi remote:
hit Menu, then 1, then 2, then 3 and then enter--this is reset and set will shut off and come back on channel three in the air band------There is also a Hard Reset for the whole set---try the 1,2,3, etc first.
We had the same problem. Luckily, we had a service contract, so it was serviced yesterday. The fix involved the service guy going through a "service menu" and resetting the TV that way. He was not "allowed" to tell me how I can access the service menu, however. I do plan to research this on the internet in case it happens in the future. It is basically a software/computer problem, and unplugging the TV isn't enough to clear it unless the TV is unplugged for "a long time." The technician said the length of time depends on the condition of your capacitors. Anyway, as a temporary fix, he showed me that you can go into the PIP mode. The device toggle for PIP apparently did still work with mine, so I was able to switch the device on the secondary picture and then switch it to primary, then toggle the PIP off. Good luck!
Could have a stuck button or a corrupt e-prom, but lets try kicking this set in the head, Now these reset codes are model dependent so this code will not work for every set out there but this reset is for the WD-62525. with the set on and with the original TV remote hit the keys in this sequence, MENU-2-4-7-0 this will bring up a service menu, the cruiser should already be on "Initialize" so simply hit enter. this will reset the TV to factory defaults and may fix your problem
