About vibration on a Harley Davidson. This can be caused by numerous things. Here are some of the most common and ways of determining fault.
Worn Chains or Sprockets. You only have a primary chain. Check that it is at proper tension and is being lubricated properly.
Google translates your description as vibrating at high speed. If you are experiencing excessive vibration at higher speeds, do this to start.
While riding, bring it up to the speed where it vibrates as you describe. Lean over just a bit at that speed and observe your front tire. If your front tire appears to be bouncing at that speed (or any speed for that matter as long as you are on smooth pavement) that is an indication of tire/wheel out of balance.
Given that the wheel balance is not the culprit, you should next check all of your motor mounts for proper torque. Be sure while observing these that you also look for cracks in the mounts or the frame at the same time.
Next on the list would be bearings. Front and Rear wheel bearings as well as those in the swingarm and steering. Check them for lubrication, load and wear. Replace if necessary.
Finally, worn-out engines and/or transmissions can cause excessive vibration.
Hope you get it ironed out ok.
