You already tried towing it to start it up? Did it break down near the house or did you have to have it towed home when it didn't work? You might have to have it towed to a car service.

SOURCE: hard to start, new bike only 20 miles carb clean valves correct

If you have a good spark and fuel is getting to the cylinders ,check commpression .If compression is good ,Try rubbing pencil lead over plug points ,( This will give a greater spark ) or heat up plugs on gas ring till hot and replace quickly while plugs still hot ..Don't forget to wear gloves.Get a friend to help .and cut down the time of putting plugs back in engine .

SOURCE: Cannot get my bike to start

Remove rubber connection from carby inlet (between carby and air filter) enough to get a piece of thin card to cover inlet to carby. Turn motor over with throttle half open for a few seconds. Remove card and see if any fuel is on the card. If there is, repeat process (fresh card) without throttle, fuel should still appear. If there is no fuel present, you have a fuel blockage. If engine still not starting with fuel present, you have an electrical problem, check for spark by resting attached plug to engine metal and turning engine over.

Bike dont want to start got spark and feul benstanding for 5months now

Todays fuel is so full of crap that if left standing for any length of time will gunge up carb jets. The only solution I\'m sorry to say will be a full strip and clean of the fuel system & carbs. If you don\'t know what you are doing get someone who does. Stripping a carb is no job for the uninitiated.

Bike have spark and feul all fuse are fine dut dont want to start behing standing for 5months now help me to start it want ride it please

This bike has fuel injection and will not start if the battery is flat or has a low charge bumping it will not work
if you have had cold weather over the last five months I would expect that the battery is dead and will need replacing
when you have replaced the battery it should be fine

Will not start has 60 psi compression plug firing has gas model 50 new coil good spark plug

When I have a problem starting a saw this is what I do.
  • Remove the spark plug and pour 5 ml (one teaspoonful) of fuel into the opening
  • Dip the end of the sparkplug in fuel so the spark gap is wet
  • Replace the sparkplug and try to start the saw
The fuel that you poured in should ignite and may be enough to cause the saw to start. You may need to repeat the operation 2 or 3 times. Do not be tempted to put in too much feul as it will only flood the saw.

If the saw was left away with fuel in the carburettor for a few months the fuel may have formed a gel in the jets of the carburettor. If the above method doesn't solve the problem you'll need to have a mechanic strip down the carburettor and clean the jets.

When I start my 2003 Vstar 1100 Classic, and as i give it throttle during ideling, it dies out? Also as im driving my bike and i come to a red light and i down shift and the idle lowers, it dies out, but...

There are a few quick things to try before cleaning the carbs.

1.Clean your air filter, it may be choking out, trust me a dirty air filter will choke out a bike.
2.Check your spark plugs. If they are black and sooty, change them out. Its quick and less expensive.

I diagnosed a 2001 Roadking Fuel injected. Ran like ****, hardly any throttle response, died at idle.
the customer said he just had it serviced a month ago at the dealer.
I pulled the plugs and they were nasty. The dealer forgot to change out the sparkplugs. It Happens
I Put in a new set of spark plugs and the bike ran like new.
I've fixed a bunch of bikes in the past and this one always stuck in my mind because of the difference in performance.

Try the sparkplugs, i think its more likely to be that than the air filter.

My 06 gsxr 750 will not start. New battery, getting fuel, replaced old fuel and bike will not turn over. What can I do to check if is getting spark?

if the bike will not turn over you mean it doesnt crank? because if it doesnt crank over then its a starter issue and could be a simple as a blow fuse, but then why did the fuse blow? ( starter going bad)..... or it could be the starter solenoid itself, and this is where i believe you might find the fuse. response feedback appreciated.

1978 YAMAHA RD400E NO SPARK ON ONE CYLINDER BIKE RUNS ON

Hello,

Remove both sparkplugs from engine. Plug them back in the sparkplug cables and let them rest on the engine.
Make sure your battery is well charged.
Check for sparks while kick-starting...
Interchange the sparkplugs in the cables:
-Same plug give sparks: replace the spark plugs.
-Same side of engine sparks: interchange the low-voltage connector at the ignition coils.
Give it a try:
Same engine side sparks: Replace the defective ignition coil.
Other side of the engine sparks: Check the circuit harness for loose connectors, and/or Clean-replace the breaker points ( left side of the engine carter ).

Good spark feul in compresion hanber but dont

I suggest you open the fuel tank and "fish" up the fuel line hose with the filter attached. Simply blow out the filter. That should allow your engine to get necessary fuel to carbuetor. This is 90% of today's no start problems.
