I've just moved to the US and need a new regulator for my Weber Summit E-450. Is there a specific regulator for this model?

No the regulator is not "grill specfic" can normally go to Home Depot, Loews, WalMart and buy the new regulator with new hose/s already attached for a decent price and replace the faulty one on your grill.

Recently replaced all 5 burner tubes and now when I light the grill it doesn't get hot enough - stays around 250 degrees.

Gerald, when you turned the gas tank valve back On, after replacing the burner, the OPD Valve in the grill tank partially locked up the grills gas regulator. To solve this problem, follow the steps below:

1. Turn the gas valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes.

2. Reconnect the hose to the tank and open the tank valve VERY, VERY, SLOWLY (Slow motion,

3. Once the valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the grill first and turn it to HIGH. Does
the flame height look correct for the highest setting? If so, light the remaining burners the same
way. Now, to all the flame heights look normal for the highest setting. if so, you solved the

4. Close the hood/lid of the grill and allow it to preheat for at least 15 minutes. The temperature
reading (if your grill thermometer is correct) should between 400 & 450 degrees F, depending on
outside air temperature. Which is hot enough to sear a steak.

If none of the above corrected the problem. You will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly, because the regulator is partially locked up. You can pickup one at any home center or hardware store that sell gas grills and accessories for about $30.00. Take your old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hi, Zarko before testing any electrical component in the Charging System it is "IMPERATIVE" that you have a fully charged battery of 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage, the battery is faulty and must be replaced. AGM type batteries fall into this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries.
1. To check the regulator unplug it from the stator. Take a test light and clip it to the negative terminal of the battery and then touch first one pin and then the other on the plug that goes to the regulator. If you get even the slightest amount of light from the test light the regulator is toast.
To do this with a meter: black lead to battery ground, red lead to each pin on the plug, start with the voltage scale higher than 12vdc and move voltage scale down in steps for each pin. Any voltage is a bad regulator.
2. On the other part of the disconnected regulator plug. Set the multimeter for Ohms x1 scale and measure for resistance across the pins of the stator. You should read something around 0.1 to 0.2 ohms for a 32 amp system.
3. Then check for continuity between each pin on the plug and frame/engine ground. The meter needle should not move (infinite resistance)(digitals will show infinite resistance) if the meter needle does move (indicating continuity)(digitals will show some resistance), recheck very carefully. If the meter still shows continuity to ground the stator is shorted (bad).
4. Set the meter to read A/C volts higher than 30 volts (the scale setting for voltage should always be higher than the highest voltage you expect or you may fry the meter). Start the bike, and measure from one pin to the other on the plug (DO NOT cross the multimeter probes! - touch them to each other). You should read roughly 16-20 vac per 1,000 rpm.
5. If the battery was good under load test, if the stator is NOT shorted to ground, and the stator is putting out A/C voltage, then the regulator is bad (most likely even if passed step 2)

Jpg328 does not light up after changing gas bottles? There is no gas coming from out the four cooktop burners. In front of the pressure regulator there seems to be gas pressure. the spark ignitors works...

After in detail troubleshouting and cleaning all gas passage of the cooktop and checking if no pessages are blocked,I myself went looking to the pressure regulator just after the gas bottles. After making some adjustment to this pressure regulator, the cooktop light up again. So problem is solved.

White smoke from ignitioncoil

and it still was working. When i got home i started the gasser several times trying to find a problem when suddenly white smoke came out of the ignitioncoil. Changed the sparkplug and the ignitioncoil did find that it's the same ignitioncoil as in Volkswagen golf from year -00 !!!! Of course the gasser still don't run as i don't get any spark Now some ideas anyone ? Is the coil the right one ? How to measure the electrical system ? Thanx for any help at allSorry to hear that your beast is offline, but problems are there to be solved. Does your fuel pump run when ignition is turned on? If not, try switching the two relays under the right side panel. I assume your starter is crankin the engine, that would at least indicate that the main fuse is all right. If not, the fuse is located inside the starter relay. Are you familiar with reading an electric schematic? There is a good schematic in the user manual. If not, your welcome to call me, Anders. Replace the regulator as this is typically an issue where the diaphragm has separated from between the body and bonnet. This is not repairable. There is no recall for this as was in the case of the 450 regulator as it is a manufacturing variance that happens with all products. It passed initial QC, but in time the diaphragm moved.
