How do I adjust the rear brakes on my 2004 rm 250

the only thing that is ajustable on the rear brake is the pedal eight ajustement closed to the master cylinder itself...if there is problem braking you may have inside cup done or air in the circuit due to low level or brake line done.....hope this help!

I need a carb diagram for yamaha tzr 250 cc motor cycle year 1988 it will not rev with out choke on . blocked jets?

Hi, Rolandwhitfo and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel cap or fuel tank is not venting properly.
2. Fuel filter clogged.
3. Fuel line pinched or kinked.
4. Vacuum line from the petcock to intake manifold cracked.
5. Float needle and seat sticking.
6. Float level too low.
7. Carburetor bowl vent line clogged/blocked/pinched.
8. Idle adjusting screw set too low.
9. Air/fuel mixture screw set too lean.
10. Idle port, transfer ports, slow air jet clogged.
11. Slow fuel jet clogged.
12. Faulty fuel pump.

I need to know how many turvs on the air flow sqrue on a 1979 RM 80 it is all stock.

Both the air and pilot screws should be one and one-half turns outward from a lightly seated position. That is the factory setting. Adjust the idle speed from there. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

When i crank on the gas sometimes it will bog out how do i fix that

If the hesitation is slight, a minor adjustment to the air screw will cure this problem - assuming your air filter is clean. If the bog is severe, then you will likely need to alter your pilot jet.

The air screw should be about 1.5-2 turns out from seat. If it is cranked in further than 1 turn to remove the hesitation, then bump your pilot jet up a size. If it cranked out more than 2.5 turns, then decrease your pilot jet size. One of the screws on the side is the idle speed and the other is the 'idle mixture' or air screw.

The needle is also in this mix but it's a fine tuning thing and since it is a bit tougher to get to, I usually get the above steps nailed down first then move to the needle to fine tune the mid range response - if needed. Ususally, you can get away without messing with the needle.

you don't! set pilot two turns out from fully in on carb pilot jet, start engine and set throttle adjuster screw on carb to fast tick over, adjust pilot to get even firing and readjust throttle screw to @1000rpm

change your plug and adjust your air screw brass flat head screw nere the air filter boot screw right (in) gently then turn (left) out 3 quarters of a turn try that then go a quarter of a turn at a time out till you find your sweet spot

you might have an air leak somewhere. chack to make sure you did not loose any o-rings from the diaphragm cap or the pilot screw. also check that there are no cracks on the intake boot. VERY LIGHT sprays of the either or carb cleaner can lead you to the source.
