What is the sequence on button shutoff on a 04 Halsey Davison Sportster Roadster 1200R. Security system won't shut off

are your lights flashing? Did you try changing the FOB battery? 2003 - 2005 were notorious for having the security module go out, unfortunately for those who have the HD security system because the security module is also the turn signal module and it usually means a new module, plus having HD program it (flash it).

I am trying to replace the rear turn signal on my 2001 Sportster. The signal that is on it now has a blue and a black wire. The new one only has a black wire. How do I make this work?

Before you take anything off or hook anything up, take the bulbs out of both turn signals. Look at the base of the bulbs and see if there are two or only one connections. I'm thinking you bike has rear running lights and the turn signal unit you are trying to replace it with only has the turn signal capability. Before you connect any wires, make sure the black and the blue wire on the bike are not touching anything metal. Turn the turn signal on and see which wire is hot. It probably won't flash but it'll go "hot" when you press the turn signal button. If they both only have one filament in the bulb, one connector on the base, then wire the blue wire on the bike to the black wire coming out of the turn signal. This would be my guess as the ground for the turn signal is a physical ground. If it doesn't work, try to connect the black wire to the turn signal body to make sure it's got a good ground. Now, there is the possibility that the turn signal will not work at all. Your bike is equipped with the automatic turn signal cancelling unit and they are very picky. It may sense the mismatch in the parts and not work at all.

I have a 2001 Harley Sportster and I had the LH rear signal light replaced at the dealer. The problem I am having is that the turn signal for the LH side does not work front or rear. When I unplug the...

The unit must be grounded to the bikes frame. Connect it back up to the bike this time without pinching the wires. You should have a blue wire, a violet/brown wire and a black wire if you have the three wire unit, minus the black with the two wire unit. The blue wire is for the running light, the violet/brown wire is for the turn signal and the black wire is ground. If you don't have a ground wire, the metal part of the signal light itself is the ground.

Turn signals will work some times if motor is not

low voltage can make them stop flashing. If the battery is good, a new flasher can may be needed, A wrong wattage or blown bulb can cause the same problem.

ZD7000 Lights, no fans, power switch not working.............

Dismantled notebook thinking compressed air removed component or connection. Nothing. Reassembled most of notebook. Left battery and power disconnected for 6.5 hours, I later plugged only AC power into unit. Fans started spinning. Completed assemble of notebook and installed the battery. Blue lights returned. Problem seems to be the battery. Shorts out something and needs about 6 hours drain out. Works great now without battery, using AC power only. Ordered new battery.....
