Hi, Anonymous for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. Hi I have a 03 r1 when I put indiccater on bike cuts out.any ideas why cheers

Sounds as though the wires are grounding somewhere. Does this happen when any other lights are operated? Maybe switch over with a new flasher relay to eliminate that. You could try running a temporary wire to and from each indicator in turn to see where the (possibly) faulty wire is.

09 yamaha r1 neutral light staying on no gear position showing unless i put down the kick stand

Hi, Jody and the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty neutral switch.
2. Grounded neutral light circuit.

2002 r1 code 19 on speedo and no fire

19 is associated with the sidestand interlock

The bike must be in neutral or have the sidestand up. These interlock the starting cut-off relay.
Does your neutral light work? If it does not, that needs to be resolved, but bike should still start if the sidestand switch is made (stand is up).
If bike still does not start, then you may have problem with the diode assembly or the starting circuit cut-off relay.

R1 no neutral light wont start on button bump starts fine

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Try with the clutcj lever pulled. Check / trace the sky blue wire to the neutral switch.  Whne transmission is in neutral this wire must have continuity to ground.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
