On one or both sides?? Check bulbs first and then start tracing wiring next.

What would cause the blinker to blink very fast and the left rear blinker doesn't work.

You obviously have a bad connection somewhere in the taillight. Some trucks it is a common problem and the taillight circuit board is the problem.

2009 fxstc wiring diagram

Hi Anonymous, always check the bulbs first for broken filaments. Then check the connection at the rear fender wiring harness, inspect for corroded, broken or loose pins. Use a dab of dielectric grease and repair as necessary. Check your brake relay if you have one , some models rear turn signals were single filament bulbs only, no running light. On my 1991 fxstc, the front blinker lamps burn on the hi side of the bulb and the blinkers wont blink also the binker indicater lamps on my dash stay on.. all the bulbs front and rear are good.. also...

Check all of the connections. The frame of the bike is the negative. I would think there is a short somewhere, either inside one of the lamp housings or the wiring harness has chafed and is touching the frame. You will have to check each wire. Check also inside the fuse housing. There may be a wire off or shorting in there.

98 nissan altima front left blinker does not work when headlights are on, works when headlights are off but blinks rapidly ,left rear blinker works when headlights are on or off but blinks rapidly also

the rapid blink is because there is a bulb outage some where, Pull Over turn on left Blinker Get out of your car look at the front left blinker hen walk to the rear of your car and look at the left rear Blinker light then do the same for the right side blinkers if all are working rapidly your left right switch is bad
