At speeds of 40mph starts chugging a bit wondering if it could be air filter or coil pack

first thing to try is the fuel filter, if its partly blocked some fuel will pass allowing for some speed, but after more fuel is needed it cant pass fast enough so your car will chug or act like its cutting out, my 94 explorer would run fine up to 35mph, but after that it acted like it didnt have power and even died a few times i changed the fuel filter and the issue went away AGCO Automotive Repair Service Baton Rouge LA Detailed Auto Topics What...

Has anyone else had the cutting out issue with scudo vans and how was it solved

Bad gas cap? Are you sure this is a fuel issue? Sounds more like a bad coil/ignition module.

Engine starts cutting out when accellerating to get up to speed or to pass someone.

I have a partner cutoff saw k700 active and when it starts it seems to run fine until itry to cut or put a load on it then it bogs down until i take my hand off the throttle after which it seems to idle...

There are a few things that could cause this problem, a dirty fuel filter, plugged tank vent, but most likely it is your carb adjustment.

Depending on which carb is used on that saw (EPA units have fixed jets and can not be adjusted).

If there are adjustable jets on your carb, open your low speed jet on the carborator yes, the low speed, not the high speed (the one closest to the cylinder) about 1/8 of a turn (counter clockwise) depending on the carb they used you might need to remove the limiter cap off the jet (usually made of plastic either grey or blue and it should pull straight off a small pair of needle nose with a bit of work will ususlly do it) Try it again under load, you may have to adjust a little more but 1/8 to 1/4 usually enough.

If opening the low speed jet doesn't solve the problem then the carb will have to be removed and cleaned and a carb kit installed.

Try that and let me know how that works for you.

I have a yamaha tdm 850 1992 model, it runs and startds fine and does not miss a beat. over the last day it has started to cut out completely at freeway speeds. it will do approximately 10 minutes fine...

Because of the higher voltages run in bikes nowdays to meet fuel regulations, spark plugs are often a big problem.Drop a new set of plugs in .It's the easiest and cheapest place to start. No dealers to rip you off.If this is not the problem,it would suprise me.Hope this helps
