Question about 2006 Honda CBR 125 R
Whilst in third gear after running for a while my bike judders and splutters then conks out. I leave it for a minute or two and the bike starts first time rides for a while the simulates the same behaviour this time in second gear as i was turning a corner. At first i thought i'd just stalled the engine and the lower speed but this doesn;t explain the higher speed corner. My girlfriend has just had the same thing occur at speed.
Is this a carburetor problem or another part of the fuel system?
This sounds like some water in the float bowl. Drain the carb using the screw on the lower side of the bowl or the plug in the bottom of the bowl, depending on which carb model you have. Drain a cup of gas from the tank as well. Moist air can condensate in the tank. that is where the water comes from.
