There is no acc plug pre-wired like there is on the touring models. Depending on where, you have to hack into the wires somewhere.

underneath the bike on the left side of the oil pan, right at the front edge is a bolt (some look like a allen wrench bolt). Take it out and also take out the oil dipstick to let it flow easier -but before you do it run the bike for about 5 minutes to heat the oil up some.

There is a large bolt on either side of the seat down on the side. It uses a large hex key to remove them. Take these two bolts out, lift the seat and pull to the rear. That should do it.

05 heritage soft tail, the connection on The fuel pump burned right above the tank, why didn't the 15 amp fuse burn before that, kind of dangerous?

Not an issue with wiring. Heat build-up under car or the fuel pump overheating from chronic low fuel/restricted filter. Did the car die? Or just lack power?

To help figure out the problem, look for the single small wire that is plugged onto the starter just above the endplate. Take the wire off and connect a test light or volt meter to the wire. Turn on the ignition switch and press the start button. The test light should light up or the meter should show battery voltage. If it does, the problem is in the starter. If not, the problem is back the other way. If you have voltage there but you aren't hearing a loud click at the starter, then the solenoid of the starter is probably bad and you will probably have to replace the starter.

Good Luck

Lights, turn signals, horn don't work

Look for a bad ground connection inside the headlight shell (or possibly elsewhere). The other thing that all of the items you mention that are working intermittently have in common is the ignition switch. With the switch 'on', check for battery voltage at the fuses for the headlight, turn signals, horn, etc. No voltage at the fuses likely means a bad ignition switch.

I just replaced my battery on 95 heritage softail

All of these lights are contolled by the "lights" circuit breaker. I think the breaker is located just under the dash between the two tank halves. When you turn the ignition switch on, listen closely for a faint "plink" sound. After a few seconds, you'll hear it again. If you hear this, you have a short somewhere in the circuit.

If you don't hear a "plink" which is the circuit breaker tripping out, you may not have connected the small wires that supplies power to the rest of the bike. The large cables that connect to the battery supply current to the starter circuit. There is a smaller wire that supplies power to the rest of the bike. It is usually connected in either of two places. It's connected at the battery positive post or at the post on the starter when the large postive battery cable connects.

When you turn your ignition switch on, does any of the dash lights come on? Does the start button work? Is the "run/stop" button in the "run" position?
