Adding to this post the scooter will drive approximately 1 mile and then stalls and will not start 5- 10 minutes... looking at youtube I did find one video however it had a plastic cover over the stator, on my scooter in this location is a solid metal casing that goes from top to bottom it looks as if to replace this would have to separate the oil pan casing, just does not seem correct to me.not only this, but seems that stator may be in a wet oily environment. not sure and don't want to take this off to find I am wrong , however the tech line seems unfeasible to me to be under the drive belt flywheel
Thought these added comments may be of help to you helping me .. Thanks again Andy

with nissan there is a procedure that requires a screw in the side of the ECM to be set before it reads out codes
it is not just a case of plugging in the scanner and reading codes
from your description it could be faulty crank/cam sensor_wiring to both or either-
or a failing ignition control module/coil from a component overheating and switching off
what ever ,there will be a fault code
This 30-minute learn procedure should be used when all vehicle keys are desired to be replaced or reprogrammed. This procedure will erase all previously learned vehicle keys from the TDM. Once the 30-minute learn procedure has been completed, any remaining vehicle keys may be programmed using the Adding Keys procedure to ensure their continued functionality.
With an unlearned master vehicle key, turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Observe the security indicator, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn off.
Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.
Repeat steps 1-3 two more times for a total of 3 cycles or 30 minutes.
Important: The TDM learns the key transponder information upon the ignition switch transition from OFF to ON. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.
With a master vehicle key, start the vehicle. The vehicle has now learned the key transponder information.
If additional keys are required to be learned, refer to Adding Keys.

Could be something as simple as a dirty fuel filter.
Get a can of quick start at the store and have someone start it up, when it wants to die squirt a shot into the intake ... if it runs again for a bit you have a fuel delivery issue. Check the fuel pressure to see if the pump is functioning properly.
Check the torque on the head bolts. I can't tell you what it is, been a long time. If they are good, run it till it dies. Then check for spark at the plugs or coil/s. No spark replace the coil/s. My guess would be coils. But I have seen the head loosen up.
