I have a 1980 Suzuki GS450L that broke a chain today while my son was riding it. The chain wrapped the drive sprocket and bent the clutch push rod. It appears mine doesn't have the seal mounted on the...

clutch pushrod should just pull out as it should be a 2 piece clutch pushrod model, earlier models were 1 piece and you had to remove clutch cover and pressure plate to remove. hopefully the seal is ok.

There is an oil leak from the push rod so i am trying to replace the rod and the seal... thing is i don't know how to do that

The only push rod in your bike is the clutch push rod. It is on the left side of the engine and between the flywheel and the chain sprocket. Just remove the left side chain cover to gain access to the rod. Pull the rod out of the center casing then use a screwdriver to pry the old seal out. Then just put a new seal in its' place and re-install the rod. The rod will not need to be replaced unless it is bent or is pitted from rust where it runs through the seal.

How do I install the clutch release shaft on a KX 125?

The clutch arm where the cable connects is on the left and it connects to the clutch via a shaft that pushes a rod which then pushes a ball bearing sitting in the holder and then the holder pushes the clutch operating plate to dis-engage the clutch. The only seal is on the clutch arm shaft that goes into the casing. At worst, only the springs on the operating plate would need to be removed then a 1/4" inward push on the rod from the right side would give clearance for the shaft to be inserted.
