Question about 2004 Honda VT 750 Shadow Aero
My Honda Shadow 750 keeps stalling and backfires. I had it overhauled quite recently, so I know everything is as it should be regarding plugs, clean air filters, etc. The only thing is I haven't ridden it for a couple of weeks and had it under a bike cover. I'm in FL so I gets REALLY hot during the day. It's low on fuel now, but not out, and I switched to the reserve tank just to be sure (I was on my way to get gas, actually). I had this problem when I first bought the bike, which led to my having it overhauled. It's run great since then, but it seems 2 or 3 weeks off and I'm right back where I was. Is this because of the ethanol in the gas now, or is water getting in my tank or something?
You have one of three problems yes ethonal suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks buy some stabil ethonal treatment and run it every tank full. REPLACE THE PLUGS FIRST ALWAYS.if that doesnt work drain your carbs with drain srew take your tank off and make sure there is no water in it bet ya $20 its your plugs
