Honda FMX 650 - quantity of hydraulic oil

The best way,is to drain a fork leg into a container, and measure the amount. however if you cant do that, start of with about 100ml in each leg, test them out, if to soft, you can always add a little more oil. from memory, a 250ml bottle of fork oil was enough to do both legs on most bikes.

Honda deauville fork oil leaking out left side only done 3000 miles

Seals do have a habit of blowing ,but first you must check the stansions (chrome part of the fork) for rust ,best to replace with new,or get re-chromed British chrome is the most hard wearing, allso put a straight edge against the stansion in four locations to check for straightness 90^ appart.if any gap between straight edge and fork then replace or get engineer to straighten .

Where do i top the water up for the radiator on my honda nt 650 deauville motorcycle.

Take off the seat and then the left side panel, (the one with the fuel on/off/res tap), this undoes with a 5 mm Allen key. Then look down in the gap created. you will see the bottle with the press on top, you will need a bright torch to see the levels, but it is fairly straightforward to fill up, once you locate them. Its a bit fidly the first time you do it, but a 2 min job thereafter.
