Question about 2003 Honda VT 750 CD Shadow A.C.E. Deluxe
My 2003 ACE tried to start the other day, turned over a couple of times then sounded like it kicked back and now I have no electricity. Battery still shows fully charges when I remove it and put a multimeter on it. What could be blocking my electricity?
Hello dfhampton, just a little fyi for you. Next time leave the battery on the bike and have some one try to start it while holding the multimeter on it. See if voltage drops significantly, if so, it's a bad battery. You need around 10.6 volts minimum to get the bike cranking. Also check on how many amps it has with the meter. The label on the battery should say the minimum CCA it is rated for. CCA stands for cold cranking amps which is self explanatory. Just some FYI.

You will have to check the fuses, check the main wire from battery to the solenoid and tothe fuse box, there must be a disconnected wire somewhere especially the main wire.
Hope this helps.
