I replaced my rocker cover as mine was cracked, all i did was put my rockers in the "new" cover and put it back on the bike and now it wont fire. I didnt move the cam or timing chain at all and i still have spark, fuel, compression. Would it be the timing somehow and how do i fix it??

Unscrew the rocker cover and remove the top casing, most cars now have gasket seal rather than a gasket so check this. Put new gasket in place and then replace top casing, replacing the bolts back in the order they should be in, then put rocker cover back on... HYUNDAI MATRIX 1 6L 2003 G4ED F4AF3
yes there is a seal on the cam shaft behind the water pump pully
undo that bolt
you have to undo the cam shaft to get to it .dont drop the lifters
19 nm for the can bearing bolts ..do not overtighten the two rocker cover bolts you can crack the rocker cover or split the cam bearing those bolts tight into
many say not to use silicon but because of the age of the car you need to use the blue silicone on the half moon the rocker gasket and the cam seal ..there are no online repair manuals for the tm-tp magnas ..the rocker covers can warp but rare
Hi Anonymous, roll the engine over untill all pushrods are as low as possible, torque rocker boxes in a criss cross pattern in 5 lb. increments, manually roll over engine slowly without spark plugs before firing to make sure all the children have enough room to play. Good luck
Replacing the silicone gaskets between the rocker box cover is not that difficult. Simply take the bolts out and lift the cover off, replace the gasket, put the cover back on with the bolts loose and line them up correctly. Then tighten the bolts to about 80 - 100 inch pounds of torque.
If the leak is coming from below the lower rocker plate where it mates with the head, this is a bit more difficult and I'd suggest taking the bike to a repair shop. However, if you'ver mechanically inclined and have the tools, even that is a job that can be done by an amateur mechanic. If this is the case, please ro-post and I'll tell you step by step what you need to do to replace the gaskets beneath the lower rocker plate.
sounds like a blown rocker cover gasket, its quite common, although you may have a warped rocker cover thats quite common on Harleys as well, order a new gasket, which you'll need anyway, while you've got the rocker cover off check for warp with a straight edge.if the cover is warped order a new one, Harley were recalling a few bikes not long ago to replace the same thing, but l think they were around 04-05 sporties cant be sure.
It sounds like you may have some sludge in your oil. When the engine is cold the oil is thicker and takes a while for the oil pump to pump it through the engine. The next time you change the oil. Do an engine oil flush first to clean the inside of the engine and ports. If this does not work you might have to have the oil pump checked. There is no need to worry as long as you have oil pressure and the knocking stops. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate this answer.
