Possible float is sticking in carb. Tap side of float bowl with screwdriver and see if that helps. If not, I suggest checking the float level and make sure it is adjusted at the right height.

SOURCE: 1983 chevy 454 wont stay running

If it's an electrical problem it wont start at all. If it starts, runs or a few, it's a fuel issue.
A new pump and lines, what about any inline fuel filters and the fuel filter in the carb fuel inlet? If it has a quadrajet carb, the fuel inlet filter will play with you.Check your idle speed and the auto choke setting.Any questions on how to balance the carb and set the xhoke, Feel free to ask. _NNed

Check to see if you are getting the correct fuel pressure at the rail. It takes at least 55psi to push past the propets in the spider assembly. Cold weather requires even more psi. You can test this with a cheap fuel pressure gauge from almost any auto part store.

I would also check to make sure the ground for your pump has a good connection, it should be located around your rear bumper in the center. A weak ground will dramatically kill your psi, but still push fuel to the rails.

There is also a problem with the "expensive" spider assembly of that truck. The spider assembly holds the single injector and has 6 tubes going to each cylinder. The lines going into the assembly are known to leak. If you take off the manifold you can easily see if there are any leaks from it, there will be wash marks where the gas has cleaned it. Instead of buying a new spider assembly, there are rebuild kits for it.

If for come to the conclusion that you need a new fuel pressure regulator, don't let them lie to you in saying you need to buy the whole spider assembly. You CAN buy it separately for around $40. If you have problems finding it at local stores, search for it online.

SOURCE: 2000 Jeep Grand cherokee Laredo

sounds alot the the pcm it controls the fuel pump and ign system but the anti theft would keep it from starting because the key has a transponder in it programmed for that vehicle and that would kill all ign if triggered

Check the ignition timing is correct. I see that you have changed the wires so I suggest that you recheck the firing order for the plugs as it is easy to get it wrong when replacing the leads.

I have a 94 plymouth voyager i had to replace the waterpump and fuel pump now it wont start it cranks over but wont start any ideas ??

Hi phcr7566...

Disconnect your fuel line from your carburator and put a container to catch the fuel as you crank your engine...
You are doing this to make sure you are getting fuel to the carb from the new fuel pump you installed...because you might be "air bound"...not allowing the fuel pump to pump fuel to the carb.If your getting fuel to the carb, them make sure the float in the carb is not stuck and not allowing any fuel to get to the engine.

You're right; It sounds like fuel delivery, but start with the simplest suspects first.
Change the fuel filter(s) first, and if this doesn't get it, go for the fuel pump.

NO FUEL GETTING TO ENGINE

It might be your fuel injectors clogged maybe.

Yeah, The fuel filter for a 2.2L plymouth reliant Le is on the passenger side just before the rear tire. Its like right next to the gas tank. Sort of in by the middle (not by the body frame). Hope this helps.
