Aprilla is not my specialty (Honda, Yamaha etc) but an Aprilla service manual would tell you how to set the pump (if the pump is adjustable). Go to this site and you can download a free PDF service manual. Most of the manuals are in English but some are not. There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language. I would get the 2002 manual. The pump is the same.

Now you can do whatever is needed! A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!

My 99 gmc 5.7 vortec got turned when the distributer was out now the oil pump shaft wont line up to put the distributer wont line up .. whats the best way to line everything back up and get the timin

If the Pontiac engine is similar to the small block Chevy, you have, I believe, a hexagonal shaft that runs from the end of the distributor shaft down to the oil pump. This is turned when the distributor shaft is turned by the meshing gears on the camshaft and distributor shaft. I would say that you are probably going to have to re-time the engine. Find TDC, then replace the distributor. It won't matter a whit to the oil pump if the gears are one or two teeth off, but it will matter a great deal if you distributor is not installed so it can be adjusted a few degrees when you get to "fine timing" the engine.

You should be able to download information on how to time the engine (finding TDC, etc.). Failing that, a trip to the library may be in order.

Low oil gage and wont start1998 mercury mountaneer

check engine oil level sound like oil level very low.if oil level okay problem could be faulty oil pump or oil pump shaft to distributor broken or timing chain has lot of slack causing oil pump not to turn fast enough build up oil pressure or engine bearings worn out.

Dont no how to ajust the ioler for the bar oil uses a tank of oil to a half tank of fule burned

what brand saw? Stihl saws are made to run Stihl oil. If you are runnin other oil, the viscosity wont be the same as the pump is designed for, and the oiler may pump more then it should. The oil adjustment screw should be a single flat head set screw on the underside of your saw near the sprocket. Alot of saws are not equipped with an adjustable oiler. Professional saws and larger displacement saws will have the feature.

After changing oil in my daewoo matiz the oil light wont go off, what can i do

Make sure that it is getting proper oil pressure, your oil pump could be going bad. If you pull off the valve cover and start the car you can see if oil is pumping through, if you rev the engine it should shoot oil out consistantly, if pressure starts to go down the oil pump is bad. Your oil strainer could be clogged also. Another thing you can check is the oil sending unit, if it goes bad it will not register the oil pressure and set off your oil light. None of these are hard to check, and really cheap to fix. Hope this helps.

My 1990 integra next to the speedo is a lite that wont go off do u no how i can clear this problem?? and also the oil lite keeps blinking on and off every time im driving but plenty of oil on dip stick

What does the light next to the speedo indicate? Your best bet would be to take the car to Advance or Autozone and have your codes pulled. If it is a trouble code, they can tell you what the problem is and clear the code for you. But if the problem persists, the light will continue to come on. As for the oil light, that measures oil pressure, not oil level. This could be an indication that your oil pump is failing, or the oil pressure sending unit is faulty, or that your oil has become too thick to be pumped properly. Definitely have that checked. A faulty oil pump will wreck your vehicle. Hope this sets you in the right direction. Best of luck and hopes that your problems arent too severe.

You'll have to take the oil pan off. First drain the oil though. Once the pan is off the oil pump and screen wlill be attatch with a couple of bolts. The the new pump wont come with a new pick up screen. Twist the shaft with your hand to get get it apart. Install it on the the new screen on the pump in the same direction as it come off or it wont set down into the pan. make sure you use a new gasket. Three hours and your done.

Oil gauge won't stay up

It sounds like most likely its your Oil pump, if you have no pressure at stop and when you hit gas it sets the C/E light off, Guages in dash wont set off Check Engine Light. Replace Oil Pump.
