I PURCHASED A USED, SLIGHTLY DAMAGED HONDA CBR1000 RR IN AFRICAN USED GOODS MARKET AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE IS A HONDA IGNITION SECURITY SYSTEM(H.I.S.S.) ON THE BIKE MAKING TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO START. YOU ARE MY LAST HOPE. THANKS.

You are going to need to find the security box for the bike and try a few things first disconnect the negitive on the battery and wait for 15-30 min longer the better. then hook neg back up and try. if that does not work you are going to need to pull the security box off the bike. if it is in with the ecu of the bike you are going to have to go and have it reprogramed at the dealer.

17. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
18. Loose or corroded wire connection at the coil or plug between ignition sensor and ECM module.
19. Spark plug cables in bad condition and shorting check for spark leakage in the dark, cable connections are loose or connected to the wrong cylinders.

21. Faulty neutral, clutch, kickstand safety switch.
22. Faulty fuel pump or fuse or relay.
23. Faulty or corroded run/stop switch.

2004 Honda CBR 1000 RR - running rough

Have you had the computer control module scanned for fault codes yet? You need to have this done by a dealer. Until you do that you are just guessing, and Honda doesn't sell any parts for less than your arm and my leg. Bottom line scan the system.

I have a Honda CBR1000 RR 05, I need to split the bottom casing. Loosened all the bolts and removed the bolts holding the bearings. Removed the clutch and all the gears. The casing still will not split....

bottom end work is risky cause u need the rite tools and technique--get a repair manual online-clymer or haynes or go to library-they have similar engine books

How do I remove the seat on a 2009 Honda CBR 1000?

Just remove plastic located directly under seat with hand or thin object, under that is a Philip screw...take screw out and slap yourself in the face and say that was it!!!

HELP ME WITH HOW DISABLE A HONDA IGNITION SECURITY SYSTEM

Go to this site and you can download a free PDF factory service manual. There should be a wiring diagram in the electrical section and somewhere there should be information on HISS. I have never worked with HISS so can't advise how to disable. Once you get the HISS taken care of you now have a manual for other repairs also!
