Have you looked at were the hose comes from as this will indicate what the fluid is and what the problem is ,it could be oil from the breather it could be fuel from a carby it could be battery acid so follow the hose to were it comes from then we can determine the soloution for you . cheers

SOURCE: 94 yamaha fzr 600. only firing on 1 an 2 cyl

No one thing controls those items.
The ignition and headlight circuits
each have their own fuses under the seat.

If you have power to both of the coil sets
then the coil for cylinder 3 and 4
might be faulty.

Lights may just have a blown fuse.

You have more than one problem
going on there.

How to check my oil level on my 94 fzr 600 theres no sight glass

there should be a dipstick on the oil filler cap, if not you have the wrong cap and a replacement needs to be bought.

alternativly, if you know exactly how much oil it takes, drain all oil out. and put the exact amount in.

Cleaning the carbs on a '96 fzr 600 that hasn't run in two years. Any advice? I'm no stranger to motorcycles or maintaining them but this is the first times i've tackled these carbs. I have removed them...

write note on where the air screws are adjusted before pulling them out.
If you see something you may confuse later take a photo, like vacumn hoses, overflow hoses, fuel hose.
The slides may look a little worn, this is usually not a problem, apart for obvious cracks, then its replace all four
dont touch the adjustable syncronizing screws, that lift all the slides together.
dont mix parts between carbs.
When putting them back on
Check the inlet rubbers and install them tight
Make certain the throttle snaps all the way back before starting the bike.
And of course work in a clean area, and remember its fuel and will burn when it can, so no ignition sources.

94 fzr 600. no spark to cyl 2 and 3 i swapped the wires to from 1 and 4 see if it was the coil and the 2 and 3 sparked fine further ive tried to wire directly from the cdi to the coil with my own wires...

Hi, James8026 and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
6. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
7. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
8. Faulty ignition switch.
9. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset
