This sounds like a carby problem as it maybe the float sticking and over fueling ,have you noticed any fuel leeks ,this could just be a cable adjustment or idle speed adjustment ,it could be a blocked low speed jet in your carby ,try a few simple adjustments first if not it may be a job for your motorcycle dealer as they have the testing equipment ,hope this helps cheers pete

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

See the YouTube video on how to repair broken solder joints on your instrument cluster connector. This takes about an hour and solves a number of intermittent problems. I think it may be under "no start" problems.

92 SL1 won't idle-wants to die without pushing gas-just put in new plugs

Remove, clean and inspect the idle control valve on the throttle body. These tend to clog up over time, or the stepper motor fails. Check this before anything else.

My 1988 dodge Dakota 3.9 3 speed automatic 2 w Dr.idles rough and sometimes dies at a stop light and won't restart unless I put the gassed peddle to the floor.when it does finally start I have to keep...

Replace your hose going from intake to brake booster ( vacuum leak) check all other hoses also. Clean the throttle body. And a tune up probably wont hurt either.

Won`t idle Dies a lot.

Try Seafoam,... purchase at Autozone $10 a can. read instructions. But i would just pour in half a can to half a tank of gas drive it around town for about 20 minutes and see if that wont clean up the gunk in you carb or injectors.
