Fuel leek around the choke, replace the fuel line? something else, maybe?

Maybe. You have to find out where it's leaking. Chokes don't leak gas, they decrease the air flow. You could have a leak around the fuel float bowl.

My 200 zx6r will only run with choke on and will not rev with throttle, instead it cuts out.where do i start?

first thing is your cable good on your throttle , is this a hand choke do u have a broken vacuum hose going to the carb this sounds like a vacuum leak , could be a broken gasket between the carb and the intake , loose bolts , pull out your plugs and ck if they have carbon build up on them which would be black if so clean them up and find you vacuum leak , could be other things but this is where to start , oh is the gas good and are you getting enough fuel to the carb ck the gas filter , could also be out of timing , but start at the carb ,make sure you have good gas , ck could be bad plug wire ,

Display adjustment screw

Have you checked the choke leaver is in the off position, if the choke is stuck on ant you rev it, it will choke out, could also be carbonized exhaust, poor compression/piston rings, poor carb tuning, air leak in fuel line.

My husqvarna 128ld starts and idles fast but only with the choke half on. Give it gas or take the choke off and it dies.

Possibly a fuel starvation issue, incorrect fuel air mix or an air leak within the fuel system

Unit will start at full choke but will not stay running with choke off, will load up on full choke and stay running around 3/4 choke

Turn off the gas and take the bowl off the carburetor.Look for water bubbles in the gas that spills away. Water will float like little balls on gas. If so drain gas tank put in new gas with some HEET added. While you have the bowl off spray up and around the bottom of the now exposed carburetor.
Pay attention to spray up the small copper tube in the center of the carb.
Clean out bowl and put it back on. Turn on your gas. Look for leaks around the replaced bowl. Good luck.

Weedeater will not run with choke off

Check your carburettor mounting screws, they might be loose and it would mean the engine is
getting to much air and it would leak gas. Stephen

Will not idle

two stoke I guees, eletronic choke if so then it is stuck, if not then if slide then slide stuck up a hair...carbs systems use Idle jet and main jet, the main jet is a taper jet with a tapper needle that adjust gas flow as the needle move up air flow across it draws more gas through the hole going to the float bowl but the idle jet is a fixed hole that has a air mixture screw nthat lets you trim the fuel air ratio for idle make sure the srew did not fall out, next a stuck float bowl can flood the idle with too much gas next the chock if half on can cause a high rich gas and cause huigh idle next a sticky throttle cable can cause high idle and just unhook throttle cable to check this the last thing is a points not electrong ignition system bike can cause high idle...air leake into the carb just like a vacum leak in a car can cause high idle...l.start with diss connecting trootle cable then check for needle jet seating then check for choke not stuck last is the float bowl level you get it study how a carb works and you nail this thats how I learned after 115 motorcycles I had seen alot of my own errors....rememeber high idle most likly is to much how is it getting to much gas is the question most likley

That's probably the overflow/flooding tube. Try starting it without the choke and/or with partial choke..Yea floats are stickin or needles are dirty..Good Luck..Tim

Yard machine 139cc will only run short time with choke

Check the float and the adjustment screw on the bottom of the carb. Usually if the float stays up it will continue to leak gas and also will only run on choke. Spray some carb cleaner in there and try to get rid of any debri also try changing your air filter or cleaning it
