2008 v star 1100 silverado does it have a stator or any relay switches that could keep this bike from starting

Kick stand switch may be the problem, if the kick stand is down and clutch out it wont start, sometime this switch will play up and it can be bypassed.

Remove the battery panel, below this is a frame panel...

2008 v star 1100 silverado how do i find out if the regulator is bab and is there a way to test itand what does bike do when regulator is bad

Below the battery panel is a frame panel, remove this and you'll be presented with the reg/rec... A good idea is to see if its earthed to the frame as this can cause problems ifs its broken or loose.

2008 v star 1100 silverado doesnt seem to be getting enough spark what could be wrong with it its rolling over but will not start

check the spark plugs are ok and the plug caps resistance are in tolerance as they are resister caps and if they are failing they reduce thd spark power ! i had this on a kawasaki 900 once ! also how old is the fuel as after 5mths its no good as it goes off ! carbs could be dirty also another area to look at ! clean connections on coil wires ?

How do I check the oil on my 2008 Yamaha 1100 V Star Classic

There is a window on the bottom of the left side (kickstand side) of the chrome cover. with the bike level, you would look into the window to see the oil level. it should be at least halfway up the window, but not all the way up.

2006 Yamaha V Star 1100 Silverado the starter motor is working but the bike won't turn over

Hi, Anonymous your starter motor is not/was not the problem that dubious title goes to the starter drive/Bendix/clutch which is a separate component that is activated by the starter motor it is a mechanical gear driven part that engages the clutch pack to turn over the engine. It has an internal mechanism that allows the gear to turn in one direction and once the engine starts allows the drive gear to free spin. If gear free spins in both directions then the drive gear has failed, it is not serviceable and needs to be replaced. My 2008 1100 silverado will not start all lights work it has been sitting a week

Howdy: I have a Vstar and I use a ticklier battery charger if my bike will set for a week or longer. The lights will work but just not enough juice to turn over. Once started the bike will recharde at a high idle. Be sure to only use a 1.5 to 2 amp charger. Sometimes Harbor Freight will have chargers cheap. Your battery should last 3 or more years. For a new battery go to Battery Plus. Ride safe- Doug

My starter is good but it wont start bike. is there a gear that goes bad?

If the starter is turning and not turning the engine, or if it will not turn it over, but will when it is uninstalled, it is probably the starter idler gear.
