Thanks, I put new o ring on. What happened is that I also changed the stator and thought the gasket was leaking. But I also think I over filled it with oil, and the only thing I can think of is I blowed a seal. Now I don't know what to do.

Today, I removed stator cover and redone the gasket and added Honda Bond. But after I got it all back together...I had the same leak. Looks like it is coming from in front of the oil filter but I can see exactly where. Only does it when it's running. I am very seriously concerned that I blew a seal.

If the leak started after you changed the starter, then yeah, you can bet that you should have changed the o-ring.

Testimonial: "Thanks, I changed the o ring on starter, but still got the leak when it is running. I know that stator cover is not leaking anymore. But did over fill the oil back I'm pretty sure."

How do i fix gear box gear oil leak ongs suzukugl drive shaft oil is working up through the starter and bottom of engine kind lie around gear sshifter

On the older bikes like Yamaha and Suzuki's, the starter had an O-Ring gasket on it's face. Your gasket may be bad, broken or missing and causing oil to get through. If you're leaking through your shifter pawl, then you're going to have to remove the case on the left side of the motor and replace the seal.

Oil leak on 1994 corolla crank seal has been changed

IS the oil coming from the same place? Was it a reputable shop that replaced it? If the answer is yes and the vehicle is high mileage, there may be an issue with end play or runout on the crank and this could be bearings that are worn. Could be a whole engine overhaul that you are looking at. There are also cases where the seal can cause a wear ring on the shaft and the shaft has to be replaced.

Starter is broken. makes a loud csfscscshh sound instead of starting?

Make sure to check the flywheel when you remove the starter there may be flywheel damage and that would cause the same problem.

Oil leak at the oil filter base of 96 Honda Accord V-6

Nope, just replace the oil filter. The filter may be loose or if the oil filter was placed without oil on the O-ring before installation will cause the O-rings to fail. If the car is due for an oil change, might as well service the engine and replace the oil and filter. Good luck and hope it's not the oil pressure sensor which will leak when it fails too and it's most of the time located by the oil filter area in most cars.

My toyota vienta 3VZ-FE 1996 - oil leak onto exhaust

That engine will leak oil from

- cam cover gaskets (rear one drips on the exhaust)
- camshaft end seals
- distributor shaft o-ring (appears on top of transaxle housing)
- oil filter bracket to block o-ring seal (drips on front bank exhaust)
- crankshaft nose oil seal (have done with timing belt change)
- rear main seal (expensive, leave it be)

Have devolped a small leak on 2005 road king. drips from bottom of primary cover at drain bolt. running down from above. back of primary cover has slight oil dampness around transmission and starter shaft...

Spray it off at the car wash to remove all the oil , then spray Right Guard (Yes, that Right Guard) on the area of the leak. It will show up, but you may not be able to see exactly where. There are a couple spots where it can leak. The jackshaft oil seal, as you said, transmission output shaft (clutch shaft) on the trans itself, the inner primary seal where the trans shaft runs thru, the engine sprocket shaft oil seal, inner primary O-ring, the bolts that hold the inner primary to the engine/trans, the primary chaincase gasket and the drain plug. Hopefully when you get it apart, you will see which seal is leaking. If not, replace them all. Still want to fix the leak? LOL
