1994 vs 1400 can change up gears but nightmare changing down

I have been given some advice of getting a master cylinder repair kit and replacing which i have but i still have the same problem. From standing i get a small jolt changing into 1st which is probley quite normal, then i can cahnge from 1st to second, third and forth with ease, but changing down is a nightmare. Sometimes I can change down from fourth to third and if I give it a few revs it sometimes changes down, but not always.

Any ideas please. I love riding but it feels like a chore at the moment.

What type oil do you use in the rear wheel?

If you are talking about the final drive oil you can use any 80/90 Hypoid gear oil. If you choose a synthetic Hypoid gear oil your rear end will run cooler. One quart of oil is enough for 4 or 5 rear end oil changes. Because the rear ends are so expensive ($1000), I change my rear end oil every other oil change.

Suzuki Intruder 1400 1996, First to Second Gear is harsh!

Change the fluid in the clutch reservoir, bleed out the remaining fluid.(keep it full as you go) Should be dot 4 fluid not dot 3. U may need to rebuild the master cylinder or replace it.

My 1994 ford rangers clutch pedal just lost all pedal

There are two types of clutch actuators. (Mechanical & Hydtraulic)
A. For mechanical type,- Check the clutch cable as
this could be cut from wear and tear. This is easy
to replace. You can find this connected to the
pedal and the clutch lever near the transmission.
B.For hydraulic operated - Check the level of the
hydraulic oil at the cylinder of the hydraulic
actuator under the hood. This actuator is
directly connected to the pushrod driven by the
pedal. If the actuator is leaking, you have buy
a repair kit (Hyraulic clutch repair kit for Ford
Ranger 1994 MOdel.) These items must be
repaired to activate your pedal.

Replacing the Brake Fluid on the suzuki intruder

You may have a blocked clutch hose or a restricted outlet/leaking piston valve in the master cylinder. Remove the hose entirely and blow through it with compressed air. Good air flow means good hose. Now try the master cylinder (clutch lever), you should get a good flow of fluid with one press. If it barely releases anything, tear the cylinder down and check the outlet area and piston valving. It may need a rebuild kit or just replace the cylinder. Once you get the cylinder working, put the hose back and new fluid in the cylinder. work the lever a number of times, then bleed the system.
