Question about Motorcycles
You do easy things first clean spark plugs or get new ones nine times out of ten its just dirty plugs once done that and still the same drain petrol completely could have water in it or its old and gone of.Still same clean carbys jets could be blocked especialy because you can,t get fall power that will fix most engines with out having to spend a zillion dollars buying bits and pieces not knowing what it is always do the simple stuff first other wise you get ripped of by so called machanics that are conning you to make a quick buck seaya Neil

Is it on all 3 cylinders ? what compressions do they have ? if more than 120psi then clean carbs and balance so they open at same time before repacing ! replace all the diaphrams etc , they do carb kits for each carb ! not cheap but cheaper than a rebuild ! 2grand !! check oil pump deliverys are ok ! dont try and run it to clear the problem coz yoj will melt the pistons etc ! clean tank also ! if compressions are low then a rebuild is on !

SOURCE: my problem is that my
Well, I have had similar problems with my girlfriends car. The car would struggle and have a real hard time moving. As it turned out it was missing transmission oil from a leakage in the oil cooling lines. I replaced the lines before connecting the return line I started the car with the pressure the transmission emptied itself. I was then able to put brand new transmission oil in there and just to be safe and avoid headaches later on I also added a bottle Automatic transmission treatment such as Trans Medic. Car now runs like new. Another problem could be a clogged oil filter. On most models then can be easily changed. Some cars have them on the outside just like the oil filter. They actually look the same. Most of them have one inside the pan. all you need is a new gasket and filter and new fluid. Hope this can help.

SOURCE: 1999 Dodge Ram won't go
If the catalytic converter has been inoperative for a long time there could have been soot or even creosote deposits in the muffler and they could have clogged even it. So first disconnect the muffler and see how the truck behaves.
