How is it running?

Ok, Pick up a clymer book for your bike and it will explain the chain tensioner and how to set it.. Follow it verbatim. Since it's running fine, you know your starting point and will notice any change. I've owned several bikes and not all had external chain adjusters.. So, good luck. If there is a bolt between the cylinders with a lock nut, its more than likly your adjuster, but verify it first. There is a procedure to follow to take up the slack in the t-chain. good luck.

Hi, Shawn I would love to help you with your engine or chassis noise but I just loaned my brand new pair of listening ears to your local dealer's chief technician so he could take your bike for a test ride and give you his professional opinion and estimate about your noise and repair cost.
