135 is still quick 196 is singing... and no one can catch ya . I can pull a whelie 0-140 and hold it for+ 5 miles around bends and all people always forget the back brake while they wheelie and fall back on there @ss , but if ya add a lil brake when you feel like your going back to far , the front will come down . well enjoy the nice weather, and your bike. cya WEB

Starting problem, have replace solanoid, starter switch and battery still will not start

Hi, Leo and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Bank angle sensor tripped and ignition/light key switch not cycled to the "OFF" position and then back to the "ON" position.
5. Faulty starter button/switch.
6. Faulty jiffy stand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
7. Security alarm needs a reset.
8. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
9. Electric starter shaft pinion gear is not engaging or over-running starter clutch slipping.

I thought the starter was bad on my 2001 Yahama Breeze. It sounded like it wasn't engaging. I put a new starter on and it does the same thing. What else could cause this?

test the starter solanoid unit for damage by putting a metal conductor (screwdriver) across the terminals, it will spark a bit so dont jump.- this bypasses the contacts on the inside (which may be pitted or worn,) and should turn over the starter motor. If this seems to turn the starter easily then it is likely that the solanoid contacts are damaged or need a clean up. this may require dismantling the unit, not always easy. Or just replace the solanoid.

Suspected kick starter issue

Do you get a clicking sound? If so it could be the battery or the starter. If not then its the starter solanoid (relay)
