Question about Harley Davidson Motorcycles
Hi I have a 2011 FXDF went to start bike nothing (fob is dead)got extra fob and bike started,rode for about a 5 miles turned on signal and four ways came on and brake light is flashing and and security key light flashes yellow,any ideas,thanks Norm

Check the battery, try jump starting it with another battery. If the battery voltage drops too low, i believe the alarm default is to disble the bike. (Greasy little criminals will cut battery cables to disarm the alarm) so although you may have enough power to operate the lights and alarm, it may be droppoing too low to start.

He's right! The key fob for the security system needs a clear signal to the module to disarm the bike. That's why the flashers turn on. If the fob is at the bike, the security module has lost it's memory, or the antenna for the key fob reception is not connected. You also need to squeeze the clutch lever to allow the engine to engage also...new safety feature i think for 07. Hope this helps.

i have the same problem but what plugs are u talking about and have u been able to fix it. i know for sure my batt is blown it will not hold charge so my first step is to replace it. but i was wondering what other problemPost Solutions i may encounter

could be a bad connection to the battery or the starter solinoid cant think how to spell it but its where the positive battery wire hooks up

Turn the handlebars to the left and lock them with the key. Once locked, unlock and try to restart, this resets the alarm on my 2008 FLHX.
