Question about 2002 Harley Davidson XL Sportster 883
Had open air intake as well as drag exhaust. All changed back to factory. Now at low idle and low speeds when bike is cool in the mornings it will backfire, or spit while going down the road at 30 or 35 mph. Jets? Idle jet? Plugs are new and correct. Air cleaner new. This is an 2002 883 R Harley Davidson.
If you are running straight pipes they might not give you the right back pressure. This can be reolved by either going back to riginal pipes or instaling a bolt into the pipes about 5 inches in to make back pressure. Another thing? Did you have the bike's electronic ignition reset after you messed with it?
