Not much on newer hogs but I'd guess if the spacers aren't the same length when you got the wheel on you'd see that the wheel isn't centered.Try again.Put the end thru the swing arm put on a spacer, push it thru the hub,put on the other spacer, push it thru swing arm put on washers and nut[loosely]and check the alaignment.Like I said I'm not much.

SOURCE: 2004 flhrci, no break lights,
You need to check to see if you have power to the brake light circuit. Locate the rear master cylinder and follow the metal tube back towards the rear wheel. At some point in the line, you'll find a pressure switch. This is your rear brake light switch, the device that turns you brake light on when you press the rear brake. You'll need a test light to test the switch. First, find the "hot" wire. There are two "flag terminals" with usually two wires each on them. One of them should be "hot" with the switch on. When you depress the foot brake or pull the hand brake, the other terminal should got "hot' as well. If you don't have power to the switch at either terminal, you'll need a schematic to trace the wiring back to find the problem. I do not have a schematic for your bike nor one even close to it. You'll have to purchase a service manual to get one.
Now we've already found the rear brake light switch. If it's bad, simply screw that one out and screw another one in. No problem. The front brake light switch is not that simple. It's located in the rgiht handlebar switch housing. This means you must seperate the housing, remove the throttle cables and grip assembly, and locate the switch. When you replace the switch, you'll have to desolder the wires running to it and resolder them to the new switch. Then put everything back together being careful not to pinch a wire in the switch halves. Readjust the throttle cables.
