Question about 2004 Honda VT 1100 C2 Shadow Sabre
This is one of those "no right answer" sort of things...
Right now, my 2001 Honda has roughly 70k miles on it. I can't remember the exact mileage because I had to park her through the winter and stare longingly through the window... First winter I've ever parked a bike. I had planned on painting her but never did. Anyway... I always put the oil recommended in my Honda manual and never have the first bit of trouble out of it. My bf however, he's put synthetic oil in his 2008 Honda since after the necessary break in service. He swears by it.
I would say use the recommended oil. It's recommended for a reason.
