Hi Anonymous, " auto throttle " I have zero clue but some where in that complex electrical system is an answer. Try to retrieve a fault code by going to: http://www.fuelmotousa.com/harleycodes.html. Good luck P.S. intake leak is raising his hand.

Hi,
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Hi Anonymous, this models valves are non adjustable but you have 3 options, 1. with engine at operating temperature do a quick series of 5 throttle revs to 1000 RPM'S below red line. 2. Try an engine oil additive Liquid Molly Tappet Stop Noise or Risoline Engine Treatment. 3. Buy new lifters and a set of adjustable pushrods. Good luck

MY 2006 HD FLHX IDLES GOOD COLD. WHEN WARMED UP, IT WANTS TO DIE DURING A STOP SO I HAVE TO GRAB THE CLUTCH AND REV UP THE MOTOR TO KEEP IT FROM SHUTTING OFF. ONCE I GET GOING IT RUNS FINE. WHAT COULD BE...

If your bike is carb equipped, remove the air filter cover and look at the top right of your carb. You'll see the idle speed stop screw there. Turn the screw slighly clockwise to increase the idle speed of the engine. If you bike is equipped with fuel injection, you'll have to take your bike to a dealer or independent shop that has the ability to make changes to the ECM.

Good Luck

Idling high

Your sucking in air on the induction circuit somewhere. Probably a split in a pipe around the carbs. This leans out te mixture and raises the revs.

How to program the fob for my 2008 flhx street glide

Per the owners manual that came with my 2008 FLHX on page 119 it says the fob's can only be assigned to the motorcycle by a "trained Harley technician" (for a nominal fee of course). The next 6 or so pages show how to arm and disarm your security system using the ignition switch and turn signals when your fob is not present or broken. If you don't have access to an owners manual you might check with your dealer,( again probably for a nominal fee)
Hope this helps!!
