SOURCE: Second Gear is out on
heyii there is a shaft coming ut of the engine crank that connects to your transmission shaft which drives your gears and hence wheels.. so your 2nd gear must have worn out and for that reason the gear isn't working well.. get your gear box opened and check the gear.. There are several possible causes; fuel mixture is too rich, air filter is clogged, or worn piston rings and/or valve guide seals. The latter, however, will most likely produce blue smoke - under acceleration means worn rings, blue smoke under deceleration means bad valve guide seals. Also make sure that the crankcase vent is not obstructed as this will tend to force oil up, past the rings and into the combustion process.
Generally, an examination of the spark plugs will give you a good clue as to what the offender is. Black, sooty spark plugs indicates too much fuel (clogged air filter or mixture too rich). Oily spark plugs means worn engine parts, as mentioned above.

Any oil with SAE 10/40W for late model bikes (check Castrol, or Benray website). When changing oil recommended to change oil filter every other oil change.

do you mean "FI" fuel injection, i think thats what you mean. you should take it to the dealer so they can pull up the codes on the computer.
Or you first try s can of Sea Foam Fuel treatment from Autozone $10, pour in 1/3 can to 2 gallons fuel and ride the bike for about 10 to 15 miles..the injectors might just be dirty.
