Hi Anonymous, because of the time involved writing it, I would recomend you purchase a service manual it gives you step by step directions, pictures and diagrams, special tools, parts your going to need, torque specs ect. besides your going to need it for other DIY projects you may want to tackle in the future. Do Not remove wheel.............push the pads back and remove the two pins.
Note there is a inner and outer pad on assembly, have a look at the new pads they are different

You have to put the connector on the battery. When you purchase the Battery tender, it comes with a "pig tail". You put the pig tail on the battery and run it to an inconspicous place. When you finish your ride, plug the battery tender in. Now, if you bought a bike with the tender already on it. Look closely around the edge of the seat for the connector. If you can't find it, you'll have to access the battery and follow the wires to the connector end.
