Go to this site and you can download a free PDF factory service manual. There should be a wiring diagram in the electrical section and somewhere there should be information on HISS. I have never worked with HISS so can't advise how to disable. Once you get the HISS taken care of you now have a manual for other repairs also!

A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!

When you download from pirate sites like www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp , most likely all you will get is a virus.

Honda doesn't put instructions on how to disable their security system in the factory service manual. The whole point of the system is to discourage theft. Why would they publish a manual with instructions for how thieves can disable it? Why would they deliberately design it to be disabled? That would defeat the whole point.

The correct answer is to contact a Honda dealer and see if they can program new keys for you. You can buy the special transponder key blanks from the dealer or the aftermarket, but the dealer has to help you program the transponder.

2004 Honda CBR 1000 RR - running rough

Have you had the computer control module scanned for fault codes yet? You need to have this done by a dealer. Until you do that you are just guessing, and Honda doesn't sell any parts for less than your arm and my leg. Bottom line scan the system.

My new 08 cbr1000 is pushing out some major heat around my ankles. i have had three gixxers and never felt heat like this. the temp gauge on bike is normal.

Like you are sitting on a blow torch. I know, some bikes do it and some don't. My Ducati is like a pizza oven, but when you are freezing to death, you don't feel any heat. My buddies Kaw is the same way. If you look at your fairing, it is funneling the heat right to your ankles.

you are going to need to find the security box for the bike and try a few things first disconnect the negitive on the battery and wait for 15-30 min longer the better. then hook neg back up and try. if that does not work you are going to need to pull the security box off the bike. if it is in with the ecu of the bike you are going to have to go and have it reprogramed at the dealer.
