SOURCE: need wire diagram for the turn signal switch.

your wires are crossed/shorting somewhere, probably in the headlight. remove the light to get to all the wires. you should be able to see which colors go to which side, also look at the wires coming from the turn signals both front and rear lefts will be same color and the rights will be another color. you should be able to tell by looking inside the switch which side is which color and which one is the feed to the switch

SOURCE: turn signal do not work, checked the light bulbs

Getting those fuse bricks out can be tricky. I have a 2000 800b ( classic ).

I had to remove the battery, then there is plenty of room to slide those bricks out towards the front of the bike.

Might want to pick up a manual. Lots of good info in there, and worth every penny the first time you try anything. It would also have a diagram and diagnostic for your lights being out.

SOURCE: My turn signals stopped working, i replaced the

You can first of all check the universal type with a +B on the one side and the body grounded to give the output at the center. If this is tested on the left and right sides then the flasher unit can be used. Otherwise there are many models of this type that will work with +12.Try the electronic types.

Should a 1997 kawasaki vulcan 800 have two hot wires in rear blinker module

Hi, Shannon not sure about this one you need to look at the wiring diagram in the back of your service manual for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Suzuki, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. What would stop rear signals from working on 1997 kawasaki vulcan 800, and should it have two hot wires connected

Hi, Shannon before diagnosing any turn signal/running light/parking light issue make sure the bulb is good and the light fuse has continuity with a test light. If you have replaced you OEM lights with LED lights you are going to need a load equalizer. If no turn signals work the cause could be a faulty turn signal module or the connector going to it, look for corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets. Contact spray cleaner is great for removing corrosion. If your speedometer does not function properly it will have to be fixed first because your turn signal module gets the data from the speedometer for normal turn signal function. If your front turn signals don't work use a test light to check for power and ground at the bulb socket, then start backtracking the wiring through every wire connector to the turn signal switch/button and check for continuity, go all the way back to the fuse if necessary to find the cause of the malfunction. If your rear turn signals don't work check your rear fender wiring harness connector first for corroded, broken, loose pins/sockets, power, and a good ground, (the harness connector is usually located under the seat on the front of the rear fender) then keep tracing the wiring look for obvious harness damage caused by the rear tire. If you still can't find the malfunction backtrack from the rear fender wiring harness connector. If one side does not work you could have a faulty turn signal switch or module check for continuity.
