SOURCE: fuel pump won't power up on 94 rf600r

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

On most Suzukis with fuel pump that I have worked on, the wiring would be:

  • Yellow/Green - start interlock, connected to the clutch lever position switch and/or starter control relay;
  • Black/White - ground;
  • Orange/Yellow - ignition B+12; and
  • Black/Yellow - trigger pulse, connected to the - terminal of one of the ignition coils and/or to the CDI/igniter.
Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: I have a 2000 Honda Shadow 750 ACE. While riding

Take the starter button off and put a 12 volt tester on one of the 4 leads that are wired into the button. Test each- If you find a hot line, take a small piece of wire and jump the current over to the other parrallel button. I worked on my bike for two weeks before I discovered this problem. Another problem was that the headlight would not come on. The starter would not crank at all. I took a screw driver and raised the brass leads on the switch so they would make contact and put the switch back together, and it worked. Good luck.

SOURCE: Getting no power to nothing. Battery good. starter relay

I don't think it's your relay, if you've got power to nothing.Unless it is somehow shorting to the frame.

Likely candidate is the key switch itself. Check the wire that feeds the switch from the battery. If it doesn't have power, you likely have a broken wire or hidden fuse.

If it's got power check the other wires coming from the switch for power with the switch on. If no power there, the switch is bad.

2000 1.8t passat will not start

Nice descriptive statement. Too bad it can't be flushed and forgotten!

Some testing will have to be done to find all the problems. A new battery and starter is a good start. It will make finding the no crank problem a lot simpler and hopefully not expensive. You could check for power to the starter solenoid when key is held in cranking position. If you have power there, check grounds and battery and starter cable connections-starter is not getting power from the battery. If no power on the solenoid wire, you will have to trace the path from the ignition switch to the solenoid to find the problem. I hope you have a wiring diagram for the start circuit, You said you checked fuses. Did you check if they all have power with key on? Something like a fusible link (if your car has them) could blow out and cut power to fused circuits.
Well, good luck. Post back if you find anything or need more help "polishing".

I have a 2000 Nissan Altima GXE, have changed altenator and left battery unhooked for 24 hrs. Now I can not keep car running, donot have inside working lights or anything to do with the power system...

the battery should be dead by the way you describe just jump start the car from another car...if that doesn't work then you might need a new battery if the battery is too 4-5 years old...
Good Luck!

I need to know what wires are what in my dash for my radio in my 2000 grand prix please nothing is labeled like it should be for example it says red wire is accessory I dont have a red wire the closest...

first things first check your fuses and i mean all of them replace all that are bad with proper fuse amprages

you are going to have to do some probing of those wires to find the ones you need you can buy a voltmeter(25$ or less) or a simple test light(2-5$) from a local automotive store

colors to look for are
primary power wires :red, yellow, black for ground
accsesory wire from igntion ,orange or blue with wite stripe and posibly pink(rare)

any wire that has an on and off state from the turn key igntion can be used depending on its gauge/size test the orange one first as this is the most common color to use for the accsesories wire
to test you have the igntion in the on postion if you get a readying of +12 volt and then turn the igntion of and recive a reading of 0 volts this would be an on off wire
note: check the auxsilary postion of the turn key igntion also if there is no power to the wire in the auxzilary postion it is the incorect wire for the radio

BLACK> should be a ground wire
RED>should be an igntion supply wire of a larger diameter
YELLOW> should be a battery supply lead strait from the fuse box battery conection "always on"connect the wire of the stereo labeld battery to the always on battery lead ,this is for the memory function of the radio

ORANGE>(may be pink only seen pink in buick's) should be an on/off wire from the igntion and used for the main power of the radio so it is shut of when the car is turnt of this is also the wire you would hook the amplifyer on off up to if the radio dont supply the blue wire with white stripe aka ant/motor
test the on off state of the wire befor conecting it to the radio
you will conect the red (+ positive) wire to this on/off state wire

cation! disconect the batery ground wire when conecting anything to the main yellow battery wire as it is directly conected thru an exspensive(12$) 30 amp fuse

if you dont know what wires are what for the speakers in the car use a 9 volt batery to find the speaker wire leads (ues a brand new 9 volt)
ntsc standard color pairs are
white and grey front
green & brown for back
i dont remeber the left and right
the black stripe on the speaker leads means the ground or negative side of the speaker
good luck instaling your new radio hope i have helped you out

I have a 2000 Cadillac DeVille and the front passenger side power doorlock isn't working. Would it have anything to do with a fuse being blown? It's just the one door.

take the door trim off and remove the motor and press the button to open if the wires are still good and the conections are clean and it dosnt work still than will need replacing

2005 chevy 2500 brake lights wont work

Just to be sure you checked fuses underhood? There is a junction block at rear of truck on frame it can cause lights to not work check it to make sure all conections are tight.also check the trailer hook up for brake light power as this is on a seperate cicuit but is supplied by brake switch. If you have power there it will eliminate switch.your fuse box has a brake fuse and trailer brake fuse
