Question about 2004 Honda VTX 1800
Light come on won't turn over
Did you check the battery, and clean the terminals? If the battery is down, the lights will work but it won't have enough power to turn the starter. I hope this helps.

The factory fill is 4.3 litres. Thats new empty lines...etc.
3.75 to 3.9 quarts is a normal drain.
Heres a link for the complete service manual on the VTX 1800C
It's a big download about 50MB in PDF format
Hope this helps...ride safe and ride smart.

look on the vin sticker(most likley on the steeting head on the frame) it will say GVWR, this is the max carry capacity. also the owners manual will give specifics as to the distibution of that weight.

Take off your side covers, take out the two bolts holding the driver seat down, remove the driver seat, remove the battery cover bolt, unbolt the battery cables , and lift the battery up out of the battery box.
