Question about 2007 Hyosung GV250 Aquila GV250 Cruiser
I hadd my bike serviced and they have fitted new pistons and piston rings i just wanted to know if there was a quick way of running them in or wethere you have to do it the way my stepdad told me.. he said you have to drive 500 miles at 30mph is he correct? - Thanks :)
Most manufacturers recommend driving 500 miles without exceeding 50 mph. Also, avoid heavy loads and hard acceleration. It is also a very good idea to change the oil after the break-in period.

Yes 500 miles and re torque the engine if you did it yourself

SOURCE: what could result from driving
Do you know what cylinder is not firing? If so take the spark plug out and that will reduce any low rpm issues, other than using more gas than it should and pushing raw gas into the exhaust where it can backfire on you, it will just run rough. I don't see an issue unless your driving it for many miles. I would not ride any more than I have to to save wear and tear on the engine. The engine is just an air pump, the ignition in the cylinders is just a way to push the pistons, so not firing on one cylinder should not harm anything physically. The rough running at low rpms is due to the engine needing that cylinder to fire and can't rely on the others to carry it as much as at higher rpm when it has momentum.
