DO NOT FOLLOW PREVIOUS POSTED ADVICE !! The person who wrote it does not realize that the front suspension on the FXDX is different than that of a normal FXD. The suspension in the DX uses a specialized cartridge. The oil cannot be changed without expensive specialty equipment. Also it is easy to damage compression and dampening assemblys' if proper procedures are not used. Take it to someone who can handle this job. This is not a do it yourself type job.
