Question about 2000 Harley Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic
Speedometer does not work.
Posted by Anonymous on
Hi Anonymous, no it is supposed to work with the ignition switch turned in the on or run position. That being said do you remember the phrase " cleanliness is next to Godliness " there is a speed sensor located on the right side of the transmission case between the top cover and the starter end cap held in place by a small allen screw. Remove said screw and sensor and cleanse the evilness that shrouds the end of of the sensor, forbidding it to function, with a clean rag and some brake kleen or simular solvent. Then re-install sensor and go for a ride. Good luck
