You are dealing with a stuck float, a stuck float needle, or a worn/bad float needle. Tap on the bowl of the carburetor with the plastic end of a screw driver. This may unstick the float then, a fuel system cleaner like Chevron Techron can be put into the gas gas to clean up any varnish causing the issues. If this does not fix the problem you will have to take the carburetor off , clean , and inspect the needle and float.

2002 yamaha vstar 1100 where is the fuel pump located?

if the bike is fuel injected- the pump is in the fuel tank.. if the bike has carburetors- there is normally no fuel pump- the fuel gravity feeds from the tank thru the petcock valve into the carbs

2002 vstar 650 cleaned carbs cranks wont take gas

If you had cleaned the carb, it can be tested for the gas flow , now if this is good and you have a good igntion spark on the plug , the engine must start without any issue. So if there is no intensity on the spark, check the ignition coil, check the HT wires and the plug and most important the Ignition switching.

I have a Vstar 650 and it has been stored for about 5 months now. Just started it up and there is gas streaming from the left side under the tank. Any help is greatly appreciated

If the leak is from the tank, check the gas line from the fuel petcock. If it turns out to be from the left carb, drain the bowl, it should free the float.

When i lean my 2004 650 Vstar to the left it idles roughly, but when I lean it to the right it run perfect?

You need the carb float bowls cleaned out. If water comes out, you will also need to drain the gas tank completely. If that doesn't fix it, you have a punctured carb float or the height is wrong.

Engine idles fine, stalls soon as its given gas

Hi there!

Open up the carb and clean the jets with pressurized air. I also suspect water on the carburetor reservoir, before opening the carb, drain it first then run. Also, make sure the plugs are clean. Pull on the choke when twisting the accelerator, if it accelerates well, then warm the beast at normal temperature first before twisting the throttle hard again.

hope this helps-

My 2005 vstar 1100 wont start

Im guessing here this is the first startup since garaging over winter months. Check your carb jets, if clean.........drain the gas and put fresh gas in its place.
