How do I change transmission fluid


the engine oil serves to lube the engine and the transmission as well, cannot change just the trans oil by itself.

When shifting into 2 3 I get the normal trans clunk . What concerns me is the clunk sound I get when letting out the clutch.


Could be as simple as too little transmission oil; otherwise could be a worn clutch-plate or - worse - damaged transmission --> expensive.

Engine misfire and transmission sluggish


you need to repair no 1 cyl. misfire it will misfire when engine load is present. if you want to test it .push brake pedal engine running and shift into forward gear and with the other foot raise rpm to 2000rpm you will feel the misfire

2000 chev cavalier feels sluggish while driving. as well as it has a faint clunking noise from the front right?

changing your VSS is easy , the hardest part is finding it...look around the housing near your CV axles..the differential in there near there is a 8 or 10mm bolt holding it in witha wire connector on the end...if you pull it out you will see a plastic gear on the end of the sensor.... YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Reverse Gear is Sluggish and makes noise.


I would say you should re check if you have 2nd and 4th. If not you need to have the sun shell replaced in the transmission. this is a comon problem. I hope this helps.

Sluggish Tranny through 1st and 2nd, when I get to 3rd it is fine?


Transmission seems to be slipping and may need to be rebuilt. This transmission may be stuck in a high gear and the on way to repair is to have it rebuilt. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

Speedometer/Transmission problem when car is cold


I would take this car and get the transmission fluid and filter changed ASAP. Acting sluggish when cold is a sign of a dirty transmission filter.

You need to change the transmission fluid and filter as soon as possible. Being sluggish when cold is a sign of a very clogged up filter.
