Hi, Chris I would love to help you with your engine or chassis noise but I just loaned my brand new pair of listening ears to your local dealer's chief technician so he could take your bike for a test ride and give you his professional opinion and estimate about your noise and repair cost. If you are a little short on "DRACHMA" and a Dealership is not on your list of fun places to visit then perhaps the list below will help soothe your worried mind so you can make an informed decision.

Ticking noise from back of 2002 Jeep Liberty

ticking noise

all noise is a 100% hands on deal.
no net bunny can do this. we can tell you to listen here and there
or use an electronic stethoscope, but in the end, its all 100% hands on.

if it makes noise in PARK , that is easy.
any mech. can find that. moving is 10x harder, and dangerous to find noises.

Why does a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix make a ticking noise at 40 MPH ?

Please try to give more information about the ticking.
Can you pin point the source or location of the Tick?
Is it coming from inside of the Car or out? From the dash, Wheel, Etc
And is the tick a steady tick, Maybe a metalic noise?
Try to expand the on the subject the best that you can.
Then I'll get back to you on this matter.
