The steering stem on your bike has the VIN stamped into it. Write down the number and call a dealer. He has a chart and can tell you what year, style and more.

A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!

I will like to know what year is this bicycle j.c higgins searial # MOD50245460

Google "J.C. HIggins serial number", but you may not have luck. The exact year is not important, as the style of bike will be fairly consistent in a range of years, as will value. If it's a 3 speed check the rear hub, which will have the month and year of manufacture on it. The bike model will be within about a year of that. I can tell you that bike was manufactured by Murray of Ohio, due to MO serial number.

I have a Sears sport girls bike. S/N 502 451 33 827499. I want to know what year it is

I am sorry to say that the year is not very important. Sears bikes, except perhaps for JC Higgens ones, are not very collectible/valuable at all, and girls bikes always less so. As other companies made bikes for Sears there is no consistency at all in serial numbers that would allow you to date the bike. The first three sets of numbers refer to Sears (502) the model (451) and number of speeds/style (33). I don't know how to decode model - do a google search.

Pat no. on a huffy bike.u.s. pat no. 3021728.year of bike

ID'ing the year of a Huffy with only a patent number is not possible, and that patent number is only for the three speed hub (Google patent number 3021728). Need to know model at least, pic would help. Also would help to know why you want the year. How to determine the year value etc of your bicycle

SL040733 is the serial number. How do i know what year it is?

if you find a shop selling them they should know the year by the serial number or the paint job on the bike, they even might have a catalogue with your bike pictured.

I have a Huffy Nel Lusso 26" bike. Style # 56573 170014Y, color Blue. Seeking the year it was made. Any Help would be greatly appreciated

You need to know the model of the bike - should be on the frame. With that info go to BikePedia, enter the make/model, and then look for a model year that matches your bike's paint scheme and equipment. BTW, year it was made is generally not very important.

Bicycle serial #SNFSD05CE1872 what year is it?

Would be more helpful to include what you need to know about the bike that you think would be aided by knowing the year. Here's info on bike serial numbers, age, etc.

What size are the axels? Are they 3/4 or 1"?

Harley changed to 1" axles but exactly when in which model bike, I don't know. The best thing to do is measure the ones you have. Harley has always been notorious for "using up their old stuff" before making a change over. Therefore, you could have a bike built in the first month of the year with 3/4" axles and the rest of the year model bikes have 1" axles. We call these bike "transition year models". Sometimes it the other way around. An earlier year model built in Nov, or Dec. having parts that weren't "introduced" until the next year model bikes. Just take the nut off the axle, loosen the clamp bolts on the fork and bump the axle out enough to measure it. Then tap it back in and retighten everything. That way, you'll know for sure.

Good Luck

Dont know the year or size of my dirt bike

usually on the front fork area where the forks pivot there should be a manufacter sticker with the brand and year and most times the size also. Just a guess but my bikes have them.
