Question about 2001 Yamaha V Star 1100 Classic
I have a 2002 1100 vstar when i get upwards around 110-120 kmh and try to give her more fuel she begins to fall back and loose power,i had the carbs cleaned ,the timing checked, plugs changed, coil checked and everything seems to be fine, could someone please help me with my problem.thankyou
Is it all stock or have you added a pipe or a hi performance air filter? If you have, it needs bigger main jets, if not try cleaning out the filter in the gas tank and screen in the petcock, if it has one

My wife has a 2003 Vstar. I was looking through her owner's manual and noticed that in the 'Instument and Control' section, there is a 'Note' that states that the bike has a built-in speed limiter, essentially a governer, that limits the engine from 'exceeding 6,800 rpm/110 MPH'. Hope this helps.
