You need to check for voltages to the ignition and igniter. Maybe the alarm is now damaged and required replacement and pairing to the electronics.

I have a subaru impreza wagon 51 plate, 2.0 ltr non turbo. I unlock it with remote and manually with key as soo as I open the door the alarm goes off. I put the key in ignition and press my imobiliser...


YOU MUST HAVE SOME THING WITH THE KEY REMOTE OR THE BATTERY IS LOW OR THE REMOTE IS NO GOOD TRY TO CHANGE THE BATTERY FIRST AND SEE HOW IT GOES.

Starting problem, changed battery,no power


If battery changed "in" is known to be good then is either

a) Fault on ignition key not sending power to starter motor when turned
b) Faulty Starter motor
c) Alarm/Imobiliser Active

Check power lead to starter motor with test lamp. If when key turned wire to solenoid goes live, dismiss a) and c) which leaves b)

If not live then either a) or c).......

Key goes in the driver's lock and only opens the driver's door. Car alarm goes off when door is opened and will not start. Have tried multiple times. Can you help?


Does it have remote central locking. If it does then it needs to be opened with the remote control. By opening the door with the key is the same as picking the lock to the alarm system so it put's on the alarm and imobilise's the car and actavates the alarm. Hope this help's Cheer's

Cant knock alarm unplugged but wont start


hi the thing with most alarms is that they include an imobiliser. it involves cutting part of the fuel/ignition system and running it through the alarm. so when you disconected the alarm you opened the system. a commen mistake. you should have received a key with the alarm and if it is a factory alarm the ignition key should do the trick. what you should do is reconnect the alarm and you should be able to tourn off the alarm with the key. if you don't have a key the only other answer is to have it bypassed by an auto electricion.

Alarm and imobiliser on a discovery 300tdi


before you cut or rewire the alarm, when welding the disco although disconecting the battery protects the battery, the imobiliser holds current, this my have gone into system factory setting, so it my be worth getting the imob and key re-conected, this is a cheap job at any Landrover specialist. hope your running smooth soon

Problem with ford explorer alarm imobiliser


You should have a switch under the dash and then just turn it to the off position. If you don't or it doesn't work (like mine) then, there is 2 fuses under the dash, put the key in the ignition and turn it forward, pull one of the fuses out and then start the car that should reset it. Then you should be able to put the fuse back. Sometimes if you put the fuse back before starting it the alarm will just continue to try and reset itself, but not start the car. If that doesn't work I have a mechanic who can pull the whole alarm out and when hes done it would look like nothing has ever been installed. Hes very good. I ended having him take my alarm out when I had the same incident happen after the 2nd time.

it may be worth while changing the battery in the remote as it takes more power to send the frequency to disarm than to illuminate the l.e.d.
